Samir Changela

– Owner, Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery

Samir is a Board Certified Pedorthist and restaurateur. His career started while in college working as a server, line cook and manager at two national restaurant chains. Upon graduating and passing his Boards, he started a Pedorthics practice in Deerfield Beach, specializing in the fabrication and implementation of foot orthotics.

He partnered with his parents, and became a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) supplier, distributing diabetic medical supplies. After 7 years in the business, they sold their company to pursue a franchised, full service restaurant. Samir found an ideal, undeveloped parcel and built the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery in Boca Raton. He quickly learned through experience, about commercial real estate development. Samir’s passion has always been in the hospitality industry with his attention to detail and outgoing, contagious personality.

In addition to his business endeavors, Samir’s philanthropy can be found in the support of many local charities that benefit the surrounding community. Samir is happily married to his wife of 5 years, Dr. Dhrupa Changela, a family physician for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. His father, Mahendra, is a retired Chemical Engineer and can often be seen at Tilted Kilt or on the tennis courts. Samir’s mother, Sue, enjoys working as an accountant for Boca Aircraft Maintenance. The entire Changela family lives by the quote, “In the joy of others, lies our own.”
