Denise Zimmerman

Denise Zimmerman

Denise Zimmerman is a devoted mother to her two children, Jett (11) and Jordana (9), and a very involved member of the Boca Raton community. This native Floridian attended Florida State University and Florida Atlantic University, where she earned her B. A. in Communications which lead to a successful career in television production, advertising, and marketing. Raised in South Florida and a long time resident of Boca Raton, Denise has developed a strong sense of community with her family, friends, and colleagues in the Sunshine State. She recognized early on that in both affluent as well as economically disadvantaged communities there is much to be done to better the lives of deserving children and those in need. Denise’s devotion to her own family provides daily inspiration for her community outreach efforts. She offers her expertise through volunteer work for both local and national not-for-profit organizations. She has served on the Advisory Board of Pine Crest School, Annual Fund committee member and the President of the Parents’ Association; Board of Directors of the Junior League of Boca Raton, as chair of the Junior League’s impressive Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon; as chair of the highly successful Wee Dream Ball benefiting the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers where she also served on the Board of Directors for several years; Honorary Chair of The Glitz, benefiting the March of Dimes; as chair of the South Palm Beach Jewish Federation’s Lion of Judah Luncheon; and Honorary Committee member for the Make A Wish Ball. Through her family’s foundation, Denise has directed her philanthropic and leadership efforts toward several not-for-profit organizations through the last 12 years that include the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, National MS Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida Impact 100, the March of Dimes, and most recently the George Snow Scholarship Fund. Compelled by the exemplary 32 year legacy of accomplishment of the George Snow Scholarship Fund, as well as the enthusiastic and unbridled encouragement of her children, Denise readily agreed to be a part of the wildly popular 2014 Boca’s Ballroom Battle, one of the most highly anticipated fundraisers in Palm Beach County. Denise has been acknowledged as a community ‘Sweetheart’ by the Junior League of Boca Raton, a “Gem of Fort Lauderdale” by Levinson Jewelers, a Multiple Sclerosis Gala Honoree, and as one of the 10 Distinguished Women to be honored for her charitable efforts by Neiman Marcus as part of their 100th Anniversary celebration. With her hard work and a little luck Denise may just have the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy to add to her impressive list of accomplishments!
