Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As some of you may already know, I am competing at this year’s Boca’s Ballroom Battle to benefit The George Snow Scholarship Fund.  I am currently training at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Boca Raton to perfect my dance routine for the competition.  The evening is guaranteed to be lots of fun! This grand event is also a fundraiser to benefit local college bound students and I really would appreciate your help.

I am calling upon my friends and colleagues to help me raise a minimum of $10,000 for The George Snow Scholarship Fund. There is NO amount too small when it comes to helping deserving students.  Every dollar is appreciated.   Help me now, go to the Donate button on the right, click and then scroll down to  “ Dancer I am Supporting”,  and please be sure to select my name in the drop down box.

Our goal this year is to award over $400,000 in college scholarships and I want to not only win the “Mirror Ball” trophy for the dance competition, but also win the “Fundraiser” award!

The George Snow Scholarship Fund is designed to bridge the gap between financial aid and the scholars’ financial need in order to fulfill their academic dreams.

Here is how you can help…..

1) Purchase tickets to the event.

2) Buy an Ad.

                Full page    $250

                Half page   $175

                Third page $100

 3) Sponsor a table.

Gather your family and friends and enjoy the evening!

You can also follow my weekly progress through photos and videos.

Thank you in Advance for your Support!  Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.

I am originally from Cuba and moved to Richmond, Virginia at the age of four with my parents and younger sister. My father was a teacher and athletic coach but decided to open his first Body Shop shortly after arriving in Virginia because jobs were so scarce

During our younger years, my mom stayed home with us and taught herself to read and write English to prepare herself to enter the workforce when we were older.  Her first job was with the I.R.S where she worked as a tax examiner.

By the time I was 14, my parents had decided to move to Miami to join the rest of our family.  My father quickly started a used car dealership where I would work after school and during the weekends.  This is where I learned how to run a small dealership and by the time I was in high school, I was running the business alongside my father . This was also around the same time that I met a girl named Annette who would later become my wife.

I continued to run the business with my dad as I studied for a degree in criminal justice.  I had always dreamed of a career in law enforcement and was very fortunate to have received many job offers from local and out of town agencies. By  the time I was ready to join, I was also offered a great job opportunity in the automotive industry by a very well respected businessman named Mr. James Evans.

I decided to take Mr. Evans offer because it was the best decision for our family. Mr. Evans was instrumental in my automotive career.  He taught me everything there is to know about running a large dealership.  I worked with the Evans Family until twelve years ago when he sold his companies to AutoNation whom I still work for today.

I have worked for Nissan, Chevrolet and have been with Mercedes Benz for the past eight years.  I am the Executive Manager of Mercedes Benz of Delray.

My wife and I have been married for 22 years and we have two wonderful children.  Our daughter Cristina who is a junior in college pursuing a career in medicine and David, a junior in high school who dreams of a career as a baseball pitcher or a career in business.

I love spending time with my family which is quite large since I am the oldest of five siblings.  My favorite pastime is gathering our friends and family for big cookouts especially during football season or attending every home Hurricanes games.  I enjoy boating, fishing and traveling.
