Pat Thomas

Pat Thomas was born and raised in Buffalo, New York and then decided the blues skies and ocean breezes were calling her name so in her early twenties she moved to Boca Raton.  Sometimes she feels like a pioneer as the town grew around her, Pat has been here for 50 wonderful years.  She is a mother of four and grandmother to nine fabulous grandchildren.

She is what they call a “Volunteer Extraordinaire”.  In 1983 she became a volunteer for The Debbie-Rand Memorial Services League, auxiliary to Boca Raton Regional Hospital, where she served as President from 1995-1997 and again from 2001-2005. Pat has served on the Hospital Board since 1997 and now also serves on the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation Board.  In 1999 she was chosen Woman Volunteer of the Year, she is a founding member of the Boca Raton’s Promise for Youth and Caring Hearts Auxiliary.  Pat currently serves as President to the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center at F.A.U. and The Friends of the Conservatory at Lynn University. In 2002 she was chosen as a Woman of Distinction by the Boca Raton Soroptimist Organization, in 2003 the Boca Raton Historical Society inducted her into the Walk of Recognition and in 2008 was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award.  And now Pat is dancing for the coveted “Disco Ball” trophy and all the scholars The George Snow Scholarship Fund serves.
